Purpose Statement

Ad mo ne o - Latin, verb. To admonish, advise, urge.

Here you'll find a review of what's happening in Utah government - state, counties, school boards, & cities, with a focus on education - as well as what Utah's U.S. Congressmen and Senators are doing. You'll get my take on it, find links to other sources of information, and find suggestions and contact info so you can DO something. Being involved in local government is key to maintaining freedom. Find something you can do and, no matter how small, DO IT! As British philosopher Edmund Burke said, "No man made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little."

Find your elected officials

If there is a board, committee, or other body you would like to see information on here, please leave your request in the comments, and I'll find it for you.

Utah State House of Representatives

Utah State Senate

Utah State School Board

Utah County Commission

Alpine School District Board of Education
Finding your representative on the Board of Education could be a bit more complicated, because there's no "type in your address" feature. First, check here to see who the current Board members are, and see if one of their areas obviously corresponds to yours. If you can't tell for sure, you can find the Alpine School Board District Maps here.

City Governments:
City Council members are sometimes assigned to a specific district, and sometimes elected at-large, which means they don't represent any specific area of their city. To find out how your city operates, check out the list of city councils and mayors here.
